Training - Overview

Doreen Evans Associates (DEA) offers a complete training curriculum to support the skills and competencies needed for today’s Business Analysis professionals. With over 50 years of combined industry experience, our instructors bring a wealth of real-world knowledge, best practices and guidelines to the classroom.

Our courses not only cover the concepts and techniques of business analysis, but also focus on the incorporation of tools into the analysis process. Tools allow today’s Business Analyst to work more quickly, manage large amounts of information accurately and effectively and automatically generate project deliverables. DEA has recently partnered with Sparx Systems, and now offers customized training in Enterprise Architect, Sparx Systems’ repository based modeling and design platform. The training incorporates both tool usage instruction and a process methodology leveraging the tool in real world requirement project scenarios.

As an endorsed education provider of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®), our course content is aligned with the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®) and is beneficial for beginners as well as experienced Business Analysts.

Course Catalog:

Business Analysis Curriculum: Courses include the understanding and honing of BA skills such as facilitation and requirements communication, as well as education on business process modeling, use cases, data modeling, and the requirements life cycle.

Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect: Courses include an introduction to Enterprise Architect and its use in requirements analysis, business process modeling and object-oriented techniques.

We can bring education to your site for individuals or project teams of up to fifteen people.

Courses are designed as modules and can be tailored to accommodate your company’s methods, techniques and staff skill levels. We can also arrange to include your own examples and project work throughout the course.
